Question:
How much does it cost to hire a slip and fall attorney in Southwest Florida?
Answer:
We have folks that are injured in slip and fall incidents. They come and ask me, “This is going to be too costly for me. I can’t pay for you as an attorney.” You don’t have to. There is no initial cost or fee to hire us. You hire us on a contingency fee contract, meaning that we only recover if we recover for you. We get the recovery at the end. Once we get a settlement for you, we get a contingency fee portion of that settlement, which includes any cost that we have to pay. We don’t ask you to pay any of the costs to request your medical bills, to hire an expert. Those are costs that are reimbursed at the end after we resolve the case. You never owe us anything unless we recover for you.
Our law firm has been handling these sort of cases for nearly 60 years so, if you’re involved in an accident like this, please feel free to give us a call. We’ll handle your case without ever asking you for a penny out of pocket.
{"@context": https://schema.org,"@type": "FAQPage","mainEntity": [{"@type": "Question","name": "How long is it going to take to resolve my slip and fall injury claim in Southwest Florida?","acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer","text": "The amount of time that it can take to resolve your slip and fall injury claim in Florida can really vary. Sometimes an insurance company will come right away to the table and they’ll want to get the case settled. We’ve had clients who were able to settle the case within two to three months after the accident happens, but that’s really a rarity. More likely than not, you’ll have to go through a few months process of getting your medical treatment, and then we get to the point where your medical treatment’s complete and we can send a special damages or demand letter to the insurance company. That can then settle the case within the next couple of months. If that doesn’t settle it, then you have to file a lawsuit.
Oftentimes in slip and fall type of injury cases, the insurance company will try to string the case out and try to make you file a lawsuit because they understand some attorneys will actually tell their clients to walk away from the case because the attorney’s not willing to file the lawsuit. Our firm is willing to file a lawsuit. We are a trial firm. We litigate slip and fall cases to try to maximize the value of those cases.
The easy answer is sometimes we can get these cases settled within a matter of months, but oftentimes, in a slip and fall case, you’ll have to file the lawsuit and then go through that litigation process, which can take several more months. We have board-certified civil trial attorneys that can make that litigation process as easy on you as it can. We do all the heavy lifting, guide you through the case, and help maximize the value of your case. If you have a slip and fall or trip and fall kind of case, feel free to reach out to our law firm. We’d be happy to help you.
