BIOGRAPHY

Marc attended law school at St. John’s University in New York City before moving to Buffalo, New York in 1983 where he practiced law for more than 30 years. He graduated from St. John’s at the top of his class and was the Chief Justice of the law school’s moot court program. After law school, Marc clerked for U.S. District Judge John T. Elfvin in Buffalo and then practiced civil litigation with a Washington, D.C. firm. He then returned to Buffalo and joined the United States Attorney’s office where he represented the federal government in civil and criminal litigation for more than 15 years. Marc served as the Chief of the Arson Task Force and then the Chief of the Telemarketing Task Force where more than 200 individuals and companies were successfully prosecuted and convicted for defrauding elderly victims of tens of thousands of dollars. Marc often taught federal and state attorneys and law enforcement agents at seminars around the country on how to shut down and prosecute ruthless telemarketing scammers. Before opening his own firm, Marc served as the Chief of the White Collar and General Crimes Division. Marc’s practice centered on civil and criminal litigation. He also taught criminal justice courses at Canisius College and at the law school at the State University of New York in Buffalo. During this time Marc also provided pro bono guidance to families of ill children and others who needed assistance in obtaining cannabis medicine under New York’s complex cannabis regulations. Marc then joined a small firm in Buffalo doing personal injury law. He and his wife, two teenage daughters and their rescue pups moved to Florida in 2022 to be near family in Naples. Marc’s wife, Julie, is an artist who creates and exhibits glass-blown and flame-worked jewelry and sculptures at fine arts festivals throughout Florida. Their daughters are members of the award-winning Palmetto Ridge High School marching band and auxiliary squad.

“Marc is a true advocate for his clients. He uses his significant legal knowledge and experience, compassion and zealous advocacy to ensure clients receive the compensation they deserve.” says Andrea Smith, managing partner.
