Legal assistant Emily Miller has again used her couponing skills to purchase more than a dozen grocery bags of food to donate to Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Inc.
Getting needed items for pennies on the dollar has helped her also collect $4,300 of food, self-care items and other products to help homeless veterans. She also uses her skills to collect items to donate to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
Miller says her biggest investment in the donation efforts is time.
Her generosity is typical for the firm, where employees and clients have supported Toys for Tots, Community Cooperative Soup Kitchen and the Shelter for Abused Women & Children, as well as area sports teams, schools, churches, veterans causes and more.
In addition, the firm was a sponsor for Cops & Joggers to benefit the Fort Myers Police Department and is a presenting sponsor for Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s Walk Like MADD, among other events.
