Motorcycle Accident Attorneys

May is National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.  Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice and Purtz has a long history of supporting motorcycle riders in Southwest Florida – from Bikers for Babies, to Fort Myers Bike Night and MDA Ride for Life. We even have some resident motorcycle riders at our firm.

As a trial attorney, who represents those who sustain serious injuries in motorcycle crashes and the loved ones of those who are killed in motorcycle crashes, I can attest to the fact that drivers on the road need to be more aware of motorcycles.  I have deposed many experts in motorcycle accident cases and uniformly they agree that the reason people pull out in front of motorcycles at intersections or changes lanes into motorcycles, is because people are just not looking out for motorcycles or expecting them.

Really, it just comes down to being more aware of your surroundings and remembering to look out for motorcycles.  There are obviously things you should not do, such as using the cell phone in your vehicle.  Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz actually recently ran a contest on cell phone use in vehicles, to help raise awareness of the serious consequences cell phone use has while on the road.  You can see a link to the outcome of that contest here:

If you want a free “Watch out for Bikes” bumper sticker, stop by any of our offices during business hours.
