Partner Christopher Smith and Attorneys Matt Raulerson and Andrea P. Smith at Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz, P.A., were guest judges at the 2017 Lee County Mock Trial Competition for high school students in February.

Presented by the Florida Law Related Education Association (FLREA), sponsored by the Lee County Bar Association, the Florida High School Mock Trial Competition is an academic competition in which a team of six to eight students simulate the roles of both attorneys and witnesses in a fictional trial situation. Students have approximately five months to prepare for their roles. Nine teams from four area high schools participated in the competition at the Lee County Justice Center. A team from Fort Myers High School won the county competition.
